March 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in West Sumatra Province will be 3.93 percent. The highest inflation occurred in West Pasaman Regency at 5.90 percent.

Abstract

In March 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in West Sumatra Province will be 3.93 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.54. The highest inflation occurred in West Pasaman Regency at 5.90 percent with a CPI of 109.60 and the lowest occurred in Padang City at 3.39 percent with a CPI of 106.88.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 9.06 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.49 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 1.52 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.71 percent; health group by 2.92 percent; transportation group at 0.73 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.07 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.88 percent; education group by 1.83 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.51 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.13 percent.
